Kamidori Alchemy Meister Review for PC

I’ve recently finished Kamidori Alchemy Meister (even though it took 3 years on and off, 65 hours total) and I wanted to share my experience with this brilliant SRPG game.

I’ve always liked strategy RPG games like Shining Force or Final Fantasy Tactics, but game companies mostly stopped making them decades ago. Eushully, however, made Kamidori Alchemy Meister in 2011 and has made other SRPGs. In Kamidori Alchemy Meister, you play as Willfred Dion who is an alchemist in Yuidora. You have a shop to manage and items to craft. You can then sell those items to fund your adventuring parties for you and your party. This game has a bit of hentai content, but nothing dramatic. Wil is not a sex fiend like Rance from the Rance series for example.

The 2d graphics are amazing, but it’s not animated in combat. Music is really good too, i’ve uploaded a couple of them on my YouTube channel. The game is playable in english, there’s an english patch available. I recommend you buy the japanese game, then patch it up. Kamidori Alchemy Meister is a faily long game (mine lasted 65 hours) and once you’re done, you can do a New Game+. In this New Game+, you can unlock a ton of new quests and characters, there’s a lot of replayability. There’s also three main routes, for the three main girls, Yuela, Emelita and Serawi. How to unlock those routes can be found on the wiki here.

I loved my time with Kamidori Alchemy Meister and I will begin a New Game + as soon as I can since most of the fun looks to be hidden there. I actually like grinding in games, so the grinding in this one didn’t bother me much, but I know that a lot of people don’t like it. Kamidori Alchemy Meister is very doable without grinding though, but some optional quests require that you grind.
